Colorado: Our new home!!

After many a day and night of praying and listening, listening and praying, our answer has been given, and we're looking so forward to what God has for us! We're heading to Colorado Springs, Colorado!
Since probably May of this year, we have been praying about our next step in our life, for our family. We knew before we even moved to this area that we were only going to be here for a short time (we have been involved in our church here for 2 years), and not long after we started praying about this change, we felt release from the Lord. Since then we have had three places that we've been praying about moving, and during November we finally got our answer.
Many people keep asking us if Bryan found a job in the ministry up there as a teacher/music minister, but he hasn't. I know he plans to, because he feels that is his calling and he's great at it. Before we figured out where we wanted to go, we had just realized that we're young and we're our own family, so if we want to, we could really just put any place in our hat and draw. We aren't settled down anywhere with kids yet, so why not go anywhere we would want?
After vacationing there last summer, we fell in love with the Colorado Springs area and joked several times while we were there that we would go back there to retire. Little did we know we would be planning to move there a year later! There is a college up there as well, that Bryan has considered attending in the future.
We can't wait to get up there and finally have a home of our own and start a family. Since we've been married, we haven't really found a place to call "home" and stay a while. We're planning on staying in the area for several years to make it our home.
We are God's children, and God takes care of His children. We are following and living our lives for Him and He is faithful. We're so excited to see what is in store for our family!

Married to a Preacher? Whoa!

The first of many of our big events and changes that I talked about in the last post happened just this weekend. I am praising God for the wonderful Husband He has blessed me with. What a leader I have! What a blessing to have a Husband who has dedicated his life to following God, and not just "accepting Him into his life" dedicated, but this weekend he stepped into what God has called him to do. I fell in love with my Husband not only because he's funny and too cute to be true, but because of his crazy love for his Father. When I went to visit Applied Life Christian College, his personality caught me right away and I couldn't wait to be his friend. It didn't take long for either of us to realize that we wanted to be with each other forever and ever! From Indoors to Pike's Peak

So here we are! After lots of prayer, stress, boxes, 14 ½ hours on the road, a little more stress and more boxes, we’re finally…home. Sitting here, at our dining room table (because we now have a dining room ), I’m still having a hard time really believing we’re here. On February 2 nd , we were sitting in my parent’s hardware store and I was getting ready to fax my resumes to some doctor’s offices here in Colorado Springs (just to get a head start. We still hadn’t decided WHEN we were actually going to move. I’m just a planner. ) and I was telling my Mom that I should probably just call her cousin and his wife to see if just I could move up there (without Bryan) and stay with them for a little bit just in case I got a call back.
